DAA Sport Marketing LP (“DAA”) was founded (in a variant of its current corporate structure) in early 1994 for the purpose of importing and marketing high quality sporting goods and health products in Israel.  

DAA is the exclusive distributor in Israel for Shimano (bicycle components, Japan), PowerBar (energy food, USA), Orbea (bicycles, Spain) and some twenty other manufacturers from many different countries around the world. These products are distributed by DAA’s sales force to a diverse client base throughout Israel including bicycle stores, health food stores, sports medicine and rehabilitation institutes, pharmacies, sporting goods stores, weight rooms & gyms, country clubs, aerobics and dance studios, camping stores, the Israeli Defense Forces, professional sport teams and more.  

Since its inception, DAA has also owned and operated a number of retail stores, including the largest retail bicycle store in the Middle East, located in Tel Aviv Israel. In 2007, with the growing market size for the products that it imports in Israel and in  order to be able to forge non-competitive relationships with its wholesale customers, DAA divested out of its retail stores and is now a “pure” importer/distributor - the only major one in its industry in Israel.  

As the founders and employees of DAA are themselves former athletes, the Company has the advantage of understanding first-hand the products that it sells. DAA has had great success in promoting its products through sponsorship of the country’s elite athletes. DAA has sponsored two of the six Olympic medalists in the history of the State of Israel, the top professional basketball team and thirty of the top athletes in a variety of sports including Cycling, Running, Triathlon, Track & Field, Swimming, Judo, Wind Surfing, Kayaking and more. 
 
In addition to its more conventional marketing methods, DAA has committed itself to helping promote sports (and the products it distributes) in Israel on a grass roots level. To this end, DAA sponsors two of the top cycling and triathlon teams in Israel. DAA also supports various sporting and health events each year ranging from bicycle races to sports medicine conferences to desert hikes. At these events, DAA opens a booth displaying its products and giving the Company an important opportunity to meet the end-users of the products that it represents face-to-face.
